About The Employer’s Institute

Founded in 2012 as Urban Business Institute, our training and consulting has stretched domestically and internationally since 2005. We have worked with many government agencies, non-profits, NGOs, development many small and medium-sized businesses.

We have worked extensively with aspiring entrepreneurs in the retail, franchising, service, and various brick and mortar spaces. We have worked with entrepreneurs in 35 place U.S. states, the Caribbean and Canada. Our consulting focuses on 4 main arteries of business operations: Sales & Marketing, Finance, Operations and Human Resources.

Over the years our training and consulting evolved with the evolution of the market and economy. We developed programs, launched licensing partnerships and curated & patented software that has been instrumental in the scaling and sustainability of firms.

Our organization rebranded to Employers Institute in 2024, due to our expansive and more intense overall training and consulting in employer-related competencies spawned from the deeper interest in our Employer Program of our academy.

We are the copyright holder of the self-help book, “Power MOVE: How to Transition from Employee to Employer”, that have sold tens of thousands of copies with various workbooks and other materials birthed from it.

To date, we have contributed to over $30M in client revenue generated, over $20M in funding acquired over a 5-year period. We negotiated hundreds of leases. Incubated hundreds of businesses. Trained thousands of student entrepreneurs.
